Catches rats and mice quickly. Even caught a bird that probably thought it was a rodent. I love the humane aspect of this trap – it ensures that the trespasser is not harmed in any way thereby protecting the trap owner from karmic residue. A small piece of bread with plenty of smeared peanut butter on it does the trick in luring victims. It even attracted a hungry rabbit that was too large to fit inside and which then vented understable frustrations by tossing the trap several times. All this action within a week of purchase. It looks like exciting times are ahead.

What I didn’t like was that it was so small. I have been attempting to catch chipmunks. I caught birds instead. Go figure. I suspect they weren’t intimidated by this cage. They were upset birds. Cardinals, mockingbird, and smaller birds. No chipmunks. What I did like was its very easy to cook and load. Very positive slam shut mechanism. As far as chipmunks go, I had to get havaheart trap. I’m up to 20 chipmunks now. No I didn’t slaughter them. Just gave them back to the city in a different area. Normally I wouldn’t care but we had a bumper crop and prey birds were too slow on the draw.

I bought this to humanly trap and release the many chipmunks around our home in a rural area. I baited it with a small pile of sunflower seeds, left it out in the shade near their holes, and without fail I had a chipmunk within an hour. I was easily able to release them far away. This works every time. Be sure to put it in the shade so the animal you’ve trapped does not die of heat stroke, which can happen very fast, check it every hour, and don’t leave it overnight since they are defenseless against predators. I completely recommend this product.

Ive been catching mice, voles and chipmunks with this. Kind of disturbing actually how many Ive caught. 5 chippies, 3 mice, 2 voles. I love that this is non lethal and I take the critters to a park and let them go.

Caught a squirrel this morning, the second one in two days, and this squirrel was able to gnaw a hole in the side of the trap. The squirrel yesterday broke all of the inner parts. I’m including pictures to show the damage. I ordered the traps through Amazon on April 21, 2022. The traps work great, but maybe they are a little flimsy? Or maybe I’m dealing with super squirrels!

Please kindly noted that the trap is mainly used for trapping rat or mouse, if you use it to catch other animals like squirrel, it’s suggested that deal with them sooner once you caught them because their teeth is much sharper than rat or mouse and may bite the trap broken. We promised that if it’s damaged in a half year, please show us the pictures, your phone number and address, and we will send you a replacement.

I bought 2 of these from Amazon, one had the metal loop that is attached to the door bent all the way down the other had the loop straight up, the way it’s suppose to look. I would like to return the bent one to you and have it replaced. I can go through Amazon if you wish, but thought going directly through you might be more preferable. I like the trap very much, I tested the good one and it performed as expected.
