When I was thinking of buying these and read the reviews, one of them said these swatters are flimsy but they ARE NOT! They’re great!! They’re a little flexible but they’re supposed to be and definitely more sturdy than the wire ones and the ones I tried at other stores.
These are plastic. They’re a little bit “whippy”, meaning they’re not stiff but flex a bit. For a fly swatter they’re as good as anything else you could get. Considering they’re going to end up covered in bug carcasses and guts can’t see where you need spend a bunch more money unless you’re just trying to impress the neighbors.
They get the job done but if you have anger issues like me and really wanna smack a fly they break apart after not much use… that being said they are cheap and there are plenty to spare in a pack. All in all worth the money.
They break, but so do guided missiles when on target

“A wild season of flying insects this year and my fly swatters purchased at local grocery stores were TERRIBLE because the wire handles would bend, ruining the swatter and letting the fly get away.
I bought two boxes of these and yes, the plastic at the end of the swatter eventually developed rips and tears, BUT the swatters work great for killing flying insects.
I have a barn where our burro (Pablo) camps out at night and during bad weather and Pablo makes a lot of “organic deposits” inside his bachelor pad. As a result the fly population is WILD. I try to avoid chemical sprays because Pablo gets annoyed at that aroma (weird that his poop doesn’t bother him) so I go in the barn and start killing the flying insects with these fly swatters. They give me MUCH BETTER aim than the wire versions, they don’t bend like the wire ones do, but they will eventually start splitting and ripping in the “kill zone.” Not a big deal for me because they work so well and at the end of fly season, I order another box.
Bottom line… the stuff that come out of Pablo’s bottom attracts the flies and these swatters are like guided missiles that are always on target and get the job done.”

Being used on the deck against an invading horde of yellow jackets was too much for these occasional use indoor swatters. But they are cute

Kind of hard to mess up fly swatters. These fit the bill. Cheap and enough to have one in every room to combat the flies.
